Ok, it’s more than 3 minutes and 49 seconds, but that’s because I’m a bit high and spotaneously decided to write a quick blog post instead. I’ve always loved this song. The original Peter Gabriel version is one of my earliest musical memories. I can remember hearing it on the radio in the garden as I watched my Dad cut the grass.
And it’s one of my favourite songs of all time. It’s hard to say what your all-time, exclusive top 5 songs are, but this one gets a bye to my top 5, because it’s just one of the best things humankind has ever done.
All the beautiful noise in this video is coming from one guy. As I type this I’m listening to it on big monster headphones, so it sounds even more fucking perfect.
Combining all those factors together just makes this a very enjoyable thing for me to watch, so I thought I’d share it.
